Nolan County 72 Hour Feed Status
The Nolan County Sheriff does not publish a clearly labeled 72-hour release feed in the official channels reviewed. Its Citizen Connect interface provides Current Confinements and Admits by Date Range. Available presets cover the last 24 hours and last seven days. There is no three-day preset. A user can enter a custom range covering three days, but the results remain admissions.
That difference governs every conclusion. A booking inside the range proves only that the person entered the local booking system during the selected dates. It does not show that the person later walked out, posted bond, completed a sentence, or went elsewhere. A name missing from Current Confinements also cannot settle the outcome because the local record may have closed for transfer, court movement, data lag, or another reason.
Set Nolan County’s Three-Day Window
Open the sheriff-linked Citizen Connect Inmate Confinements page and choose Admits by Date Range. Set the start and end dates to the exact three calendar days relevant to the inquiry. The interface caps a custom range at 31 days, so a three-day span is permitted. That cap is only a query rule. It does not prove that the sheriff destroys or withholds older records.
- Write down the intended start and end dates before searching.
- Run the custom admission range and note when the search was performed.
- Compare the full name, booking number, charge, and arresting agency on any matching result.
- Check Current Confinements for the same booking and person.
- Ask the jail whether a closed stay ended by community release or transfer.
- Obtain the written jail event and the matching court or agency record.
A three-day range is most useful for locating a booking that may have started before the current day. It still cannot produce a countywide list of releases. The wider window changes the set of admissions, not the meaning of the underlying data.
Nolan County Three-Day Search Fields
The Citizen Connect landing page confirms controls for date range, charges, and arresting agency, along with a dynamically loaded current-booking view. The individual result may contain more detail, but the landing screen does not promise a release timestamp, release reason, receiving custodian, or photograph for every booking.
| Control or field | Proper use |
|---|---|
| Custom start and end dates | Locate admissions during the chosen three-day span |
| Current Confinements | See whether the vendor currently displays Nolan jail custody |
| Charge control | Narrow booking-system charge information |
| Arresting agency | Distinguish sheriff, Sweetwater Police, DPS, or another arrest route |
| Booking number | Tie the result to one confinement when shown |
| Release date, type, destination | Request these from the jail if the public result lacks them |
Fields in a booking interface are jail-system facts, not court findings. Search the underlying case for the signed order or judgment. A person can also have several charges in different courts, so one case outcome may not explain the entire confinement.
Nolan County Weekend Release Checks
A three-day period can bridge a weekend or holiday, which makes it useful for discovery. Yet no official source gives a Nolan County release timetable, a release-door location, or a guaranteed processing interval. Published records-office hours should not be mistaken for the hours when the jail physically releases people.
Bond processing also resists simple timing assumptions. Nolan’s official bail page says each charge and bond must be satisfied before release. Some warrants have preset bonds, while cash-only and no-bond limits may apply. Courts handle bonds during their stated hours, and the jail accepts them when courts are closed. Those process facts do not promise that release will occur at a set hour or within the selected 72-hour window.
When a release may have occurred late in the period, call the Nolan County Jail at 325-235-5487 for a present-custody question. Then request the exact release time in writing. The public interface has no stated refresh schedule, so the date and time of each online check matter.
Confirm Nolan County Release Events
The best proof uses a matched pair. The jail’s release or transfer event shows when Nolan custody changed. The court order or receiving-agency status explains why and where custody went next. A current-roster absence, social post, or alert is a lead, not the final record.
| Possible outcome | Confirm with |
|---|---|
| Bond or court-ordered community release | Jail release record and signed bond or release order |
| County sentence completed | Jail time record and judgment awarding sentence credit |
| Transfer to Texas state custody | Jail destination plus TDCJ Information Search |
| Transfer to another county | Named receiving jail or sheriff |
| Federal movement | USMS or federal court record, and BOP when applicable |
| Immigration transfer | Jail hold or destination and ICE locator |
A TDCJ record showing Nolan County in an offense row describes the county of conviction, not the place of release. “Not in BOP custody” describes BOP status only. The search must stay within the custody class covered by each system.
Request Nolan County 72 Hour Records
When no online release feed exists, ask the Nolan County Sheriff for the records associated with each named booking. Send the written request to records@nolanso.org. Include the booked name, aliases if known, booking number, and precise three-day range. Ask for existing records such as the booking sheet, jail card, confinement chronology, public release date and time, release type, releasing authority, public holds, destination, receiving agency, and booking photograph.
Mail or in-person requests may be directed to the Open Records Administrator, Nolan County Sheriff’s Office, 211 Avenger Field Road, Sweetwater, Texas 79556. Fax requests go to 325-235-4865. The official request page lists weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding county holidays, and states that requests are not accepted by phone.
The sheriff may notify the requester about copying or redaction charges. No fixed local copy price is published. Ask for an electronic copy and an estimate when useful. The stated ten-business-day response expectation is not a guaranteed production deadline; clarification, volume, redaction, fees, or a legal ruling can affect timing.
Nolan County Court Record Match
Nolan County says its judicial records from 2000 forward are online as an index only. Use the index to identify the case number and filing path, then obtain the signed document. Felony cases generally belong with the District Clerk. Misdemeanors generally run through the County Clerk. Class C or ordinance charges may be held by the municipal or justice court that handled the matter.
A bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, commitment, or discharge order can explain the legal basis for a custody change. It rarely proves the exact time jail staff completed release. Match that document to the jail timestamp. If one arrest produced several cases, check each one before concluding that all holds were resolved.
Nolan County Transfer Fallbacks
Search TDCJ when the record suggests a felony transfer to Texas state custody. Search the receiving county if the jail names another local custodian. For federal pretrial movement, use the federal case because USMS has no nationwide public release feed comparable to the BOP Locator. BOP covers sentenced federal custody. ICE’s locator is the next step when an immigration hold or destination appears.
IVSS-Counties may provide county custody notifications if Nolan participation is confirmed in the live portal. Texas now uses a separate TDCJ IVSS for state prison, parole, mandatory supervision, and discharge events. Alerts can arrive late and released people may disappear from a search. Use an alert as corroboration, then obtain the official event.
For a same-day admission scan, use Nolan County Released Last 24 Hours. The three-day page remains the better discovery route when the relevant booking may fall outside today’s preset.
Nolan County 72 Hour Conclusions
A custom three-day Citizen Connect query is useful only if its limits remain visible. It shows admissions within the dates entered. Current Confinements shows the vendor’s current Nolan jail view at the time checked. Neither source alone proves that a named person was released to the community during those 72 hours.
The conclusive path is booking identification, present-custody check, written release or transfer record, and a matching court or agency source. Preserve the selected dates and search time. If no record appears, report only that the person was not found in that search. Do not convert an empty result into a release claim.
Note: The sheriff does not state a public refresh cadence or released-record display period for Citizen Connect.
